Singelloop

Traffic disruption

During the Singelloop you may experience possible traffic disruption. We hope for your understanding and look forward to a sporty edition!

ACCESSIBILITY GIRTHS

Traffic delays on the canals should be considered at the following locations and times:

9:30 – 12:00 a.m. Inner ring of the canals, during which time the section not used by the runners or no longer used by the runners is available. The outer ring of the girths is accessible at all times during this period, with the exception of:

10:00 – 11:00: Tubantiasingel (outer ring road). Participants in the 10 English Mile use the outer ring road from Tubantiasingel to Hengelosestraat.

12:00 – 2:15 p.m.: Volksparksingel and Parkweg (inner ring road).

Trail

Starting from the Volkspark, participants walk clockwise. The route is as follows: Tubantiasingel, Boddenkampsingel, Lasondersingel, Laaressingel, Oliemolensingel, Hogelandsingel, Varviksingel, Getfertsingel, Pathmossingel and Volksparksingel.

Access roads towards the center

From 12:00 noon, the access roads towards the center will be accessible again. Before that time it is only sporadically possible to cross – only on indication of the traffic controllers. Traffic coming from the access roads outside the center will be directed to the (outer) canals on the right.

Work on Boddenkampsingel

Work on the Boddenkampsingel will not affect the Singelloop. This section of the inneringel will be accessible to participants of the event on Sept. 14.

Parking

The Volkspark will be the site of the 28th Singelloop on Sunday, September 14. Participants and visitors are advised to come by bicycle and park it in the special Singelloop bicycle shed on the Stadsmatenstraat. The parking lot for cars at the Volkspark is not in use.

When arriving from the south or west side of Enschede, it is recommended to park at the Pathmoshal (Veilingstraat 20 in Enschede). From there the Volkspark is within walking distance. From the north and east side it is best to park at Menzis (parking lot behind the building). The Volkspark can then also be reached within walking distance.
